BACK TO THE FUTURE/JUMP ABOARD THE ARCHITECTURAL "TIME MACHINE"
Discover what is was like to live (and build!) in historic times and cultures that produced some of the world's most famous structures — from Egyptian pyramids, the Greek Parthenon, and Medieval castles, all the way up to the world's tallest skyscrapers, and the latest "eco/earthships."
David MacCauley's videos, well-known books, and other inspiring materials will come along on our journey also. There will be plenty of drawing, designing, constructing of models, and other art activities as well. It will be so exciting to see what our "future architects" create!

THE WIZARD OF OZ/A PUPPET/STAGE ACTING PERFORMANCE
We invite you to join us as we put together our own interpretation of this classic tale. The last day of camp will culminate in a grand performance for family and friends.
Over these two weeks we'll learn more about the original author of the story, L. Frank Baum, and his times; watch the well-loved 1939 film adaptation; write our own version of the story; design and construct our puppets, stage sets, and costumes; compose songs; and hopefully include musical accompaniment if any campers play instruments. Be prepared to be amazed!

BAKING CAMP/HONE YOUR SKILLS AND JOIN US IN THE KITCHEN FOR AN EDUCATIONAL WEEK OF FOOD AND FUN!
In this cooking camp your little chef will learn essential baking skills, from measuring and mixing to rolling and decorating, as we create sweet and savory baked goods.
Everyday we'll master a new baking technique and apply that skill to creating a delicious final product. This camp will also provide an enriching experience through yoga movement class, mindfulness activities, relaxation, games, and outdoor time.

Ages: 5 and up
SEWING CAMP
In this class our young craftspeople will have the option to make a super cute apron, a beautiful bag, or a comfy lap blanket. The children will experience and learn about safety and using our sewing machines, sewing terms, and cutting fabric, as well as having oodles of fun making their lovely handmade treasures. This class is open to all sewing levels, and all will be challenged!

SCIENCE CAMP
Young scientists will discover the satisfaction of learning scientific concepts by using their hands! Demonstrations, experiments, and dissection activities are the core around which discussion and exploration will revolve. Children will get a sampling from a variety of different subjects, such as chemistry, biology, and physics, during morning and afternoon work periods. The days will be rounded off by lunch and outdoor play time. Materials are included with the registration fee.
